Sign in with a Passkey
Add a passkey from Account settings and sign in with it from the Encatch sign-in page.
You can sign in to Encatch with a passkey instead of a one-time password. Your device confirms it is you with a fingerprint, face, device PIN, or a security key.
Encatch stores a public key. The private key stays on your device or in your password manager. Your biometric data is not sent to Encatch.
Add a passkey
- In the admin sidebar, open your profile at the bottom-left. The menu is labeled Account & Preferences.
- Select Account settings.
- Open the Security tab.
- Select Add passkey.
- Optionally name the passkey, then select Continue. Your browser asks you to create the passkey on this device or with a security key.
Your other sign-in methods keep working. The browser or device must support passkeys. If it does not, Encatch tells you passkeys are not supported.
On Security, each passkey shows when it was added, whether it is a synced passkey or a device-bound passkey, and whether it is backed up. You can rename or remove a passkey. Removing your last passkey turns off passkey sign-in. Your other sign-in methods still work.
On the sign-in page, select Sign in with a passkey. Encatch waits while your device confirms you.
If this browser or device has no matching passkey, or you cancel the request, use another sign-in method.
